Entire push trigger
See Entire Triggers for an overview and Event Triggers for generic options like title, target, and if.
The push trigger handles Entire's ref.created and ref.updated events for branches and tags:
on:
entire:
push:
init:
commit-sha: ${{ event.git.sha }}
Ref deletions, events without a valid commit SHA, and pushes whose before and after values are identical don't start runs.
To run only on pushes to main, use an if expression:
on:
entire:
push:
if: ${{ event.git.branch == 'main' }}
See Cloning Repositories for a complete checkout example using the event's SHA.
