Entire triggers

RWX can trigger runs based on Entire events. Before configuring triggers, follow the getting started with Entire guide. See Event Triggers for shared options such as init, if, target, and status-checks.

Push triggers

Place the following snippet at the top of an RWX file to run all tasks when a branch or tag is created or updated:

on:
  entire:
    push:

See Entire Push Trigger Reference for event fields and branch filtering.

Trail triggers

Place the following snippet at the top of an RWX file to run all tasks when a trail is opened, reopened, or updated with a change to its head commit:

on:
  entire:
    trail:

To start a run for other trail actions, see the Entire Trail Trigger Reference.

Common patterns

Pass values from the event as init parameters into tasks. For example:

on:
  entire:
    push:
      init:
        commit-sha: ${{ event.git.sha }}

base:
  image: ubuntu:26.04
  config: rwx/base 1.2.0

tasks:
  - key: entire-cli
    call: entire/install 1.0.0

  - key: code
    use: entire-cli
    call: git/clone 2.3.0
    with:
      repository: entire://aws-us-east-2.entire.io/et/YOUR_PROJECT/YOUR_REPO
      ref: ${{ init.commit-sha }}
      entire-token: ${{ entire['YOUR_PROJECT/YOUR_REPO'].token }}

Replace the example URL with your repository's entire:// clone URL, including its region host and path.

Entire repositories also support cron schedules, dispatch triggers, webhook triggers, and cache rebuild triggers.
