RWX Series A and July release notes
The limiting factor in software engineering is no longer writing code. It's validating it. Every major shift in software development has required new infrastructure, and AI-driven engineering is no different. RWX is the dev cloud built specifically for that transition.
We’re excited to announce we raised $12 million in Series A financing led by HPVP with angel investors including Theo Browne, Bryan Johnson, and Jenkins creator Kohsuke Kawaguchi participating.
We're sponsoring LDX3 New York

RWX is sponsoring LDX3 New York, LeadDev's conference for engineering leaders. If you'll be there, come find us at our booth!

Standard tickets are $300 off with code RWX : leaddev.com/leaddev-new-york

Here's what shipped in July!
When creating personal access tokens from the UI or signing in to the RWX CLI, you can now specify which fine-grained permissions each token can hold. Manage your personal access tokens here and see the docs here .
Datadog integration is now generally available. Observe and analyze your RWX usage and performance in Datadog alongside your application observability data. See more in our docs .
Organization access tokens are now service accounts , with support for setting fine-grained permissions that define which API actions each account can take. Read more in the docs and set up service accounts here .
Cron schedules now support modulo expressions (e.g. tue%2 for every second Tuesday) and hash expressions (e.g. mon#1 for the first Monday of the month). See our updated cron schedule documentation for more.
You can now define local packages for sharing dependency setup across CI and sandboxes. See local package docs here , and compare them with embedded runs in this table .
We released a mise/install package to easily install mise and your configured tools. See the docs .
Task debugging is now even easier. You can SSH into a running task using rwx ssh <task-id> . See the Remote debugging documentation for more details on this change and the other improvements we've made to SSH sessions.
OIDC tokens can now be automatically refreshed using OIDC token files . You can use this with AWS or GCP to keep your credentials fresh for longer durations.
We've added substring() as a supported expression in run definitions, joining similar expressions like lower , upper , and trim . See the full list of supported expressions here .
RWX runs triggered for PRs added to GitHub merge queues now are automatically cancelled when the underlying merge group is removed by GitHub. These runs also are now properly associated to the PR number when filtering runs to a specific PR.
